ready to travel to UK foster

• Location: Safe Shelter Romania
• Grace is a small/medium size mixed breed and is approx 3 years old.
• She is a kill shelter survivor and was taken from Lancram kill shelter in freezing conditions, she even had ice on her whiskers.
• Once she was examined by the vet, it was clear that Grace’s breathing was not “normal” and she went for further tests.  At first we believed she may have a short life expectancy,  and she may not ever get the chance of a new and better life here in the UK.
• She was referred to see a specialist, who has given her a much better prognosis.  It appears that her life may not be shorted at all, however she will need ongoing medication
• She is such a happy, friendly little lady that just LOVES people, and wants to say hello and make a fuss of everyone she meets.

• Our goal now is to get her to the UK into a temporary foster home and she be seen by a vet here, for them to check her over and we get a second opinion on her medication she has been prescribed, and any ongoing tests required.
• She is very active, and loves to run around, play with her toys and play “chase” with other dogs and cats.  However, due to her condition, her level of exercise must be monitored to ensure that she does not overdo the level of exercise, and she does not over-exert herself.
• She loves to walk, but can walk only on a lead and again at a steady pace.
• Any home would need to have someone around a lot of the time, and who is able to |(at least initially) visit the vet (under our guidance and costs paid by the rescue) for us to obtain the second opinion.
• We will then know what kind of home Grace would be best suited to long term
• Any children would need to be 14+
• She is microchipped and fully vaccinated and neutered, and will arrive in any new home with her own passport clearly outlining all the various tests and vaccinations she has had (in line with DEFRA rules and regulations).  She will also come with a full APHA (UK) Certificate for Brucellosis which is NEGATIVE.
