Hollie -
- Location: UK Foster home in Nottinghamshire
- Hollie is approx 1 year old and medium size
- She has been in a shelter since a tiny pup, and as a result can be a little shy and wary of people and new situations.
- She has bonded amazingly well with her foster mum and dad, and has never shown any signs of aggression whatsoever.
- She is currently in a busy foster home with several other dogs, and although Hollie gets on with the all the dogs just fine, she sometimes finds this environment overwhelming,
- She would need a calm home environment with one or at the most 2 adults.
- Also a quieter location would be ideal, as a busy built up area with lots of noises and passing traffic would be frightening for her.
- She has needed gentle encouragement to go outside in the garden even with the other dogs. She has tended to hold back, however, she has now made her own way out into the garden area to toilet (no accidents inside) and will spend a few minutes having a sniff around, but is always happy to return to the safety of the house, where she feels safe.
This would of course improve over time, as Hollie adjusts to her environment and her “safe” world becomes wider. - She is great with other dogs, she will play with them with no issues at all. She is also a calm dog, and will happily chill in her bed, or in the office with her foster mum whilst she works.
- Hollie would need to live with a confident, playful, friendly dog in the home already, for company as well as to continue to build her confidence.
- Whilst she follows her foster mum around, she is happy to sleep in the kitchen in her bed, and there is another dog in there with her.
- She doesn’t cry or get agitated when being left overnight and settles well.
- Hollie would need a home with a patient, calm person. She is so incredibly loving, enjoys lots of fuss and tummy tickles, and will give you her paw. She is no very kind, and will thrive in any home that can meet her needs.
- She has been out on walks, and is improving all the time. She is obviously anxious, but doing well with training and reassurance.
- She eats well, and is fed in a slow feed bowl. She is in the same room as the other dogs when eating, but all are supervised.
- She would at least initially need to be fed separately from other dogs until she understood they were not trying to take her food.
- No children in the home as Hollie is afraid of sudden noise and sudden movements both inside and outside the house.
- She is THE most beautiful girl, with such a kind heart and temperament. She just needs to learn that everything in the big wide world is not so scary afterall.
- Hollie has NOT been cat tested
- She is microchipped and fully vaccinated and will arrive in any new home with her own passport clearly outlining all the various tests and vaccinations she has had (in line with DEFRA rules and regulations). She will also come with a full APHA (UK) Certificate for Brucellosis which is NEGATIVE.
- She is too young to be neutered and will leave to any new home with a
